RTE Portal Full Form

RTÉ full form is Right to Education, Which means right to education in Hindi, it is a national act according to which all children have the right to education.

RTE Act :-

The process of admission in private schools and Kendriya Vidyalayas for the children of disadvantaged groups and weaker sections has been fixed under the rules made under the RTE Act, Free and Compulsory Children’s Right to Education Act, non-grant recognition under the Right to Education Act. In private schools, it is necessary to give free admission to children belonging to disadvantaged groups and weaker sections on at least 25 percent seats in class 1 or in the entry class of private schools starting from pre-school education. Fulfillment will be done by the government!

Due to this RTE Act, the children of these weaker sections of the families living in the neighborhood around the school will be able to take advantage of the facilities of education, the last date for application for free admission is June 30 and 25 percent of the children are selected by lottery. Will go, after admission, the facility of free education will be available till class 8 in the concerned school!

Salient Features of RTE Portal :-

• Providing free and compulsory education up to 8th class!
• Till the completion of education, no child shall be held back, expelled or required to pass the board examination!
• If the child has not taken admission in any school or has not completed his/her elementary education, he/she will be admitted in the appropriate class above the age of 6 years.
• No child will be denied admission in the school for want of age proof.
• Age of the child to be determined as per the provisions of the birth certificate issued.
• If the child completes his elementary education, he will be awarded a certificate!
• There should be reservation in the ratio of 25 percent for economically disadvantaged communities to take admission in private schools.
• Special steps should be taken to improve the quality of education.
• School teachers should have degree as per adequate criteria!
• School infrastructure has to be improved every 3 years!
• The financial burden of this program will be shared by the state and central government.

• For admission in 3+ pre-primary class, the age of the applicant student should be more than 3 years and less than 4 years
• For admission in 4+ pre-primary class, the age of the applicant student should be more than 3 years 6 months but less than 5 years
• For admission in 5+ pre-primary class, the age of the applicant student should be more than 4 years 6 months but less than 6 years
• For admission in first class, the age of the applicant student should be more than 5 years or less than 7 years
