Scope of Chief Minister Jal Swavalamban Yojana Campaign

Rajasthan Phases of Chief Minister Jal Swavalamban Yojana

So far, four phases of the scheme have been conducted to take the benefits of this scheme to the village level through the Government of Rajasthan. On the basis of this scheme, adequate potable water facility will be provided to the families coming under rural areas in the state through the Rajasthan government.

Stage 1In the first phase, under this campaign, ponds, tanks, new tanks etc. were constructed in selected villages so that traditional water conservation could be done. Under the first phase, 3529 villages of 295 Panchayat Samitis were selected out of which 95192 works were completed.

Stage 2The second phase of this campaign was started on 9 December 2016. Six cities of the state were also included in this campaign. In the second phase of the campaign, about 130,393 water conservation works were completed in 4213 villages.

Stage 3In the third phase, 148 lakh saplings were planted in the state. During this third phase, 156152 public protection works were completed in 4314 villages. Altogether 381737 works have been completed in 12056 villages under all phases so far.

Stage 4Under the fourth phase, 1.80 lakh works of 3963 villages were identified, this campaign was started on 3 October 2018.

• Along with this, keeping in mind the available water from various resources, water budget will be prepared and works will be identified in the same way, and approval will be given to the proposal for construction.
• Harvesting the available drainage channels (in rainwater, ground water, ground water and soil moisture) in rural area by proper use of available water harvesting structures, treatment of catchment, upgradation of non-functional water harvesting structures and construction of new water structures.
• Forest, land, water and fauna will be developed keeping watershed, cluster, index as a unit for natural resource management.
