Prime minister Narendra Modi has released the ninth installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. It was released on the 12th of February 2024. He announced the latest installment in his through a video conference on Monday 12th February. Under this scheme, the farmers’ families will get an amount of rupees 6000. They will receive this amount in three equal installments of rupees 2000. It will be directly credited into their account in every four months. With this, the government has released a fund of rupees 19500 crores. Almost 9.75 crore farmers will get the benefit of this scheme as declared by the prime minister’s office.

The beneficiary farmers will receive this fund directly into their registered bank account. Till now, the farmers have received more than 1.38 lakh rupees so far. This data is according to what is provided by the PMO.

• Firstly, the marginal and small farmers will get rupees 6000 under this scheme. The amount will be directly transferred into their registered bank account.

• It will assist you financially in buying seeds and foot items. This will help you to gain more agricultural produce.

• In the year 2024, the scheme is on its 12th installment. The farmers have already received 8 installments in the past years.

• The first installment of this scheme is generally transferred into farmers’ bank accounts between April to July. But this year, farmers were eagerly waiting for official notification. Finally, PM Narendra Modi has announced it on the second Monday of February.
• The second installment will be made between the months of February to November.
• Then, the third or the last installment will be made in the month from December to March.

Eligibility criteria  PM Kisan Status – 12th Installment

However, all the farmers of our country are eligible for this scheme. But, some categories are excluded from the eligible group of farmers. The farmers that fall under these categories can not get the benefits of the PMKSN scheme. The categories are as below.

1. First, all the institutional landholders are not eligible for this.
   • Adding to this, the families in which one or more family members belong to the following categories are not eligible.
   • The holders of constitutional posts whether it is former or present.
   • Former and present ministers/ State Ministers and former/present Members of Lok Sabha/ Rajya Sabha/ state Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative councils. Moreover, the former and present head of Municipal corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats are also excluded.
   • Then, this category includes all serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ State Government employees /Offices/Departments and its field units. Then, the Central or State PSEs and Attached offices /Autonomous institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies are not included. This category does not include the Multi-Tasking staff / Class lV/Group D employees etc. Which means these are eligible for this scheme.
   • All the people receiving a pension of rupees 10,000 or more every month are also not eligible. This category also excludes multi-tasking employees.
   • If a person has paid the income tax in the last assessment year, he/she is not eligible for this scheme as well.
   • Finally, the people engaged in professions such as Doctors, Engineers’ Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects are not eligible. Further, those who are registered with Professional bodies and carrying out profession by undertaking practices are also excluded from this scheme.

This portal also allows you to download the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 2024 beneficiaries list. You can download this list online. To do so, you can go through the following instructions.

• First of all, visit the official website of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The link to open the website directly is pmkisan.gov.in.
• After that, you will see the main user interface of the site on your screen.
• Now, you will see a number of options available. These may include the new registration, editing Adhaar failure, checking status, etc.
• Then, click on the option of beneficiary’s list available on the home screen itself.

• After that, a new window will appear in front of you.
• Here you will have to provide a few details. These will include your state, district, sub-district, block and lastly, your village.
• Then, to get the list, press on the option ‘get report’.

PM Kisan New Farmer Registration 

If you are eligible for this scheme and have not registered yet, you can do so. To register for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana as a new candidate. Kindly follow the instructions as below.

• First of all, visit the official website of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The link to open the website directly is pmkisan.gov.in.
• After that, you will see the main user interface of the site on your screen.
• Now, you will see a number of options available. These may include the new registration, editing Adhaar failure, checking status etc.

• Here, you will have to select your category that is an urban or rural farmer.
• Then, enter your Adhaar number.

Note- According to the official website, Your Aadhaar will be authenticated with UIDI. You Will be able to procced only if your aadhar is authenticated.

• Now proceed to select your state from the available drop-down list.
• After that, you need to complete the captcha verification. For this, you have to enter the value appearing in an image.
• Then, a registration form will open on your screen. There you have to fill in all the required details. Kindly check your details very carefully before final submission.
• After that, you will have to submit your bank details. Make sure to provide the bank account that you can easily access. This is because the department will send your money to this bank account only.
• Next, click on the submit option to finally submit your registration form.
• You have successfully registered for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Note- Those farmers who have received the 8th instalment do not have to register themselves again.
