In simple words, this scheme means to reach all the facilities related to banking from village to village so that rural women can get information about money transactions related to banks. The government has set a target of providing employment to about 58 thousand women under the Sakhi Yojana.

The purpose of the Banking Correspondent Scheme is to provide banking services in rural areas, in such a situation, employment will be provided to about 58,000 banking sakhi, in which they will have to tell the girls and girls of the villages about the banking facilities, in return they will get commission, in such a situation, the first work will be done by them. Women who are financially weak will get it.

How to get benefit?

First of all, women who are weak from economic base will be included, who will have to give information to the people about the banking facilities in the villages. All women will be given a salary of Rs 4,000 per month for 6 months. Along with this, commission will also be given on doing banking transactions by rural people, this will reach door to door banking facility and unemployed women will also get employment.

Salary to be given under BC Sakhi Scheme

• Under the BC Sakhi scheme, ₹4000 per month will be given for the first 6 months.
• ₹ 50000 will be given separately for buying a banking device.
• Apart from this a commission will also be provided for banking operations.
• Earnings will be done through that commission after completion of 6 months.

Eligibility of BC Sakhi Yojana

• Only women of Uttar Pradesh state can apply in this scheme.
• Female candidate should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh state.
• Female candidate should be 10th pass and should have understanding of banking.
• Women should be able to transact money and should be able to operate electronic devices.
• Under the Uttar Pradesh Sakhi Yojana, those women will be appointed who can understand the working of banking and can read and write.
