Girl Samridhi Yojana (BSY) has been started by the Central Government. Girl Child Prosperity Scheme Through this, the girls of all the families living below the poverty line will be benefitted. This is a special initiative started by the Government of India to support the birth and education of the girl child.

The scheme has been implemented in 1997 under the policies of women and child development and for the convenience of girls. At the time of birth of a girl child, the mother is provided financial assistance of Rs.500 under the scheme., simultaneously Annual scholarship facility for girl child’s education has also been provided.

Financial assistance will be provided to all the girls registered under the scheme for better upbringing of daughters and completion of their education. This is for the better future of daughters and with the aim of making them self-reliant. Girl Child Prosperity Scheme has been announced. Daughters of BPL category families and families living in slums will be covered under the scheme.

The benefit of the scheme will be given to the girl children of all the beneficiary families coming under rural and urban areas. This is a special effort started by the Government of India to improve the education level of girls. Only maximum two girls of a family can get benefits under Balika Samriddhi Yojana.

Objective of Balika Samridhi Yojana

To encourage girls for education in the country. To reduce the negative thinking towards the girl child in the society. To motivate girls for higher education. Enriching the girl child of the country. Through this scheme, girls will be provided scholarship for their studies. Girl Samridhi Yojana In this, the government will provide scholarship to the girls from their birth till the completion of their studies. This scholarship will be given separately to the girls every year on the basis of their class.

Scholarship details given under Balika Samridhi Yojana

Every year, according to their educational qualification i.e. qualification, through the PM Balika Samridhi Yojana, the scholarship will be given by the Central Government in the form of financial assistance. Balika Samridhi Yojana of the Ministry of Women and Child Development In this, scholarship will be given to girls from class 1 to class 10, which is as follows –

• grade one to three Through BSY -Balika Samridhi Yojana for girls up to 300 rupees Assistance amount / scholarship will be provided.
• class 4 On entering the girls 500 rupees Scholarship will be provided.
• fifth grade (5th class) to girls Rs 600 Assistance amount / scholarship will be provided.
• sixth and seventh upon entering the classroom Rs 700 amount will be provided.
• eighth grade upon entering 800 rupees Will be given
• Along with this, on entering class IX and X 1000 rupees amount will be provided.

All the families coming under the rural area can complete the application process under the Balika Samriddhi Yojana through the Anganwadi center. Along with this, the families coming under the rural area can complete the application process through the Primary Health Center. Under the scheme, the assistance amount will be provided to the girl child only when she is registered in the scheme. That is why it is necessary for all the beneficiaries to apply under BSY.
